چکیده
The excitation of high-frequency short-wavelength spin waves is a challenge limiting the application these propagating magnetization disturbances in information processing systems. We propose method local using non-linear nature dynamics. demonstrate with numeric simulations that an edge-localized wave can be used to excite plane obliquely from film's edge at doubled frequency and over twice shorter wavelength. mechanism direct result ellipticity magnetic moment precession related edge-mode propagation. As consequence, component tangential equilibrium orientation oscillates temporal spatial frequencies, which leads efficient waves. threshold-less process spin-wave proposed our study promising for integration inductive or point-like spin-torque source

Magnetic vortex core reversal by excitation of spin waves
Micron-sized magnetic platelets in the flux-closed vortex state are characterized by an in-plane curling magnetization and a nanometer-sized perpendicularly magnetized vortex core. Having the simplest non-trivial configuration, these objects are of general interest to micromagnetics and may offer new routes for spintronics applications. Essential progress in the understanding of nonlinear vorte...
متن کاملExcitation of coherent propagating spin waves by pure spin currents.
Utilization of pure spin currents not accompanied by the flow of electrical charge provides unprecedented opportunities for the emerging technologies based on the electron's spin degree of freedom, such as spintronics and magnonics. It was recently shown that pure spin currents can be used to excite coherent magnetization dynamics in magnetic nanostructures. However, because of the intrinsic no...
متن کاملSpin Waves along the Edge States
Spin waves (SWs) have been studied experimentally and by simulations in 1000 nm side equilateral triangular Permalloy dots in the Buckle state (B, with in-plane ̄eld along the triangle base) and the Y state (Y, with in-plane ̄eld perpendicular to the base). The excess of exchange energy at the triangles edges creates channels that allow e®ective spin wave propagation along the edges in the B stat...
متن کاملSpectrum and Attenuation of Non-Linear Surface Magnetostatic Spin Waves in Ferrite Films
Dispersion and attenuation of non-linear surface magnetostatic waves (MSSW) propagating in thin ythium-irongarnet (YIG) fenite Nms have been studied both experimentally and theoretically. They were defined from the amplitude and phase alterations of the wave as it traveled along the "non-equilibrium" part of the film. At the border of such a non-equilibrium part the wave power is equal to the t...
